How to Claim

Prizes up to $599 – You can claim your winnings from any licensed retailer.

Prizes between $600 and $50,000 – For an award of this value, you must complete a claim form. You can then visit the Minnesota Lottery’s headquarters in Roseville or any of the regional offices to pick up your winnings. The address of the headquarters is shown below:

Lotto America in Minnesota

The first jackpot ever to be won in the revamped game was claimed in Minnesota on March 14th 2018. Debbie Kujava from the town of Badger bought the winning ticket, worth $22 million, from Holiday Stationstores in Roseau. When she found out she was a millionaire she immediately told her brother Dennis, as they had always had an agreement that ‘if one wins, we both win’. They decided to take the cash option of more than $13 million.

It is not just big winners who benefit from Lotto America in Minnesota. Whenever a ticket is sold in the North Star State, 24.5 percent of the revenue goes towards helping vital services in the education, health and environment sectors. More than 62 percent is used for prizes, while 6 percent is earmarked for retailer commissions and the remaining 7.5 percent covers administrative costs.
